EVENT SPEAKERS.

EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP: DRIVER FOR GLOBAL QUALITY HEALTH.

Presenter: Dr. Julia Ugorji. DNP, MSN/EDN
Dr. Ugorji is a nurse leader with administrative management skills, leading and teaching across programs from ADN to DNP. Currently a Professor at Herzing University and Southwest Minnesota State University, MN. Served as the Dean of Nursing and Health Professions at NHCC in MN, 2020 – 2022, Associate Dean of Nursing at Rasmussen University 2018 – 2019, and Associate Dean of Nursing at Metro State University, 2022 – 2024. She presents often at National and International nursing professional conferences. She has
published articles in peer-reviewed nursing journals and has authored book chapter.

She is active in professional organizations serving at different levels, such as NANNNA’s past president and current board member, ABNF research and education committees, and External advisor to the MN Governor’s office on Public Engagement. She is a fellow with the CADFP &
ABNF.  She has received several leadership awards, including the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Community Services from President Joe Biden, in 2022, the International Leadership Award from CAFBLC, & NANNNA Leadership Award. Dr. Ugorji enjoys public speaking and was a content presenter at the ABNF Annual Conference in Spain, June 2024, the Nursing World Conference in Las Vegas, Rome, and London, in 2017, 2018, & 2019, respectively; the African Union Summit in Washington, DC., 2019.

Presenter: Ms. Cythia Grosso.
Cynthia R. Grosso is a national etiquette expert, industry thought leader, an award-winning speaker, a business columnist, author, and
founder of the Charleston School of Protocol and Etiquette, Inc. Ms. Grosso has appeared as an etiquette expert on the Dr. Phil Show, Oprah
and other national shows. In addition, she has been written about in many global publications and is the host of Your Manners Matter syndicated radio show. Ms. Grosso is also the author of the Professional Savvy Series; an on-line learning program for Professional Table Manners that is the only one of its kind and won the bronze medal in the world for excellence in E-learning.

 

FINANCIAL EDUCATION & FINANCIAL LITRACY FOCUS ON INVESTMENT VEHICLES & RETIREMENT PLAN.

Presenter: Philo Amaechi, BSN, RN.
PHILO AMAECHI. BSN, RN, RNM (Registered Nurse/Midwife of Nigeria) Phil completed her general nursing career at School of Nursing, St Mary’s Joint Hospital Amerigo in Orlu LGA with Diploma Certificate in Nursing 1983. She became a Registered Midwife in 1983 after studying at Holy Rosary Hospital Emekuku School of Midwifery and obtained a BSN Degree at Columbia Union College Takoma Park MD in 2006, known today as Washington Adventist University Takoma Park. She currently works as a holding Team leader in the Dept of Behavioral Health, DBH Washington DC, as a mentor to younger nurses and resourceful Leader.

Due to her passion and insatiable desire to help others grow in knowledge and impact other people’s life financially, she joined World Financial Group, a financial company owned by Transamerica Insurance, and became a licensed agent of WFG/Transamerica Financial Company. She has helped to educate and empower numerous families to create, protect, and transfer wealth from generation to generation.
Being a member of Holy Rosary Hospital Emekuku alumni, she discovered the need to bring this financial education to her Alumni sisters. Financial education is not taught in schools. It is her pleasure to present this financial education workshop on Investment Vehicles and Retirement planning to her professional colleagues so that they can become informed and educated investors, able to make
decisions that will help them achieve financial goals, build a solid financial framework to enable them to retire in comfort.

 

 

COMPASSION FATIGUE

Dr. Assumpta Ekeh has a PhD in Nursing Educational Leadership, and is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She is currently affiliated with the School of Nursing & Public Health, Caldwell University, where she holds an Adjunct Nursing Faculty position, and teaches Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. She also practices as a Certified School Nurse in the East Orange School District, in New Jersey. Additionally, she has over 20 years in diverse clinical experience that includes: School nursing, Trauma nursing, Psychiatric/Mental health nursing, Medical-Surgical nursing, Corrective nursing, Geriatric nursing, & Maternity nursing. Her research
interests consisted of: Global health issues among susceptible minority groups/vulnerable populations; prostate cancer screening knowledge, intention, and participation among men of African ancestry; the level of educational preparedness of student nurses in developing countries; the impact of school nursing activities on pupil’s health disparities, and the impact of mental health social determinants such as stigma and poor healthcare access on the communities of color.

Dr. Ekeh has published many peer-reviewed articles, and peer-reviews reputable national and international scientific nursing journals. She is a reputable event speaker, as well as a national and international presenter. She holds active membership to numerous professional nursing organizations. Dr. Ekeh loves mentoring nurses especially those seeking professional guidance and academic advancement. At her spare time, she enjoys cooking and traveling. She is happily married and is blessed with three young adult children.
